On July 24, 2012 over 10000 people participated in actions nationwide to demand a raise in the federal minimum wage. Bain Capital is a major investor in Michaels craft store. A recent corporate restructuring has resulted in millions of dollars in profit for Bain, while Michael's Crafts workers have lost hours and pay. As a result, community members in Portland came together and said enough was enough!
