Indigenous issues

I haven't had much time to keep up with blogging... I spent almost a week in Oklahoma, camping near Ponca City with the Great Plains Tar Sands Resistance Camp - no electricity in my tent (although one tent did have a windmill and solar panels - I kid you not!).  Although the action that we were training for all week didn't come off as planned, the overall experience came together as one of the most valuable I've had so far in a totally unexpected way.

program:  Evening News program date:  Thu, 01/15/2009 A total of 45 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza on Friday; bringing the number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing Israeli offensive to one thousand, one hundred sixty seven, including three hundred seventy children and eighty five women. At least 5200, including 1745 children, have been wounded. 13 Israelis have been killed in the 20 days of Israeli attacks, nine of whom were soldiers.
