The new space is located at Southeast 12th and Oak Street, and will be open this evening beginning at 5:30. Organizers with the Occupy Portland movement say they hope the presence of a legal, semi-permanent space with regular office hours will give the community at large a chance to get involved. program:  Evening News program date:  Wed, 01/11/2012 Short Description:  Portland City Council will vote on a Resolution to Bring War Dollars Home At a special session tomorrow afternoon, The Portland City Council will vote on a resolution calling on the US government to end the war in Afghanistan and bring troops and contractors home from Iraq. The statement is called the “War Dollars Home Resolution”, and is based upon the resolution passed by the US conference of Mayors in June. A coalition of peace groups in the Portland area have come together in support of the resolution.
