| New York, November 24-- It's Thanksgiving in the doubly-barricaded Zuccotti Park aka Liberty Plaza. The new post-raid regime has reduced access to two narrow north and south entrances on Liberty and Cedar Streets, with security checks for large bags, but no access from the main Broadway thoroughfare. Inside the park, mic check is still in operation but most working group meetings are taking place offsite at the 60 Wall Street atrium and other locales. This morning, hard core occupiers and OWS supporters mingle, talk and perform. They include a member of the Harvard University transgender task force working on a data base; a family from Memphis, Tennessee, an activist from New Jersey and others. According to some occupiers, owner Brookfield Properties new regulations for park use are vague and inconsistently applied, with cardboard and signs being prohibited at times (though not at time of shooting). Two silent observers in plain clothes are alleged to emanate from a certain federal department. When filmed, one whips out his camera in response and turns it vertically to get a full-body shot of the camera person. Several former stations from the pre-raid park, including kitchen and comfort stations are merged to cope with the greatly reduced food donations. Guitar and vocals by Steve Baldwin of Elementary Penguins in an adaptation of the spiritual "Pharaoh, Your Kingdom Must Come Down". elementary-penguins.com. Filmed by Squaring Off.
