On Earth Day, April 22, 2012, activists from around the Bay Area marched from a North Berkeley Park and into Gill Tract, a 10-acre plot of land owned by the Regents of the University of California. The University of California plans to develop the tract, which had previously been actively used for agriculture, but has been under utilized in recent years. |

A Multnomah county jury has awarded two canadian farmers almost forty million dollars after their crops were destroyed by a cheap fertilizer.
The fertilizer, called multicote plus, was developed by companies sun-gro horticulture and woodburn agriculture as a low-cost alternative to the industry leader.
both of the farmers lost almost two whole seasons worth of crops, as well as the trust of their customers.

This is the summer 2010 update from the Our School at Blair Grocery Project.
